DESCRIPTION

The Peripheral drive Settling Tanks are used for the removal of biological sludge and floating particles in both Primary and Secondary Settling Tanks. This equipment is built to suit municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants.

Construction breakdown:

  • The rotating bridge is driven via a drive unit on the peripheral wall.
  • The central, large diameter heavy-duty turntable bearing ensures sufficient axial and radial load bearing capacity.
  • Material for the rotating bridge is predominantly mild steel, painted to specification or hot dipped galvanised for smaller units.
  • Submerged components are manufactured from galvanised steel, 3CR12 or stainless steel.
  • Bridges are manufactured from a heavy section Z formed bent plate or pipe and both have a built-in centre camber.
  • The drive and idler wheel assembly is robust and fully enclosed for safety purposes
  • Scum removal systems can be supplied for all clarifiers. Scum baffle brackets are designed for vertical and horizontal adjustments in order to fix the scum baffles in a true circle, allowing for tolerances within the civil structure.
  • The V-notch weirs are laser-cut for accuracy and installed with a non-permeable sealer strip to ensure a secure
